We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Senior Operational Analyst who, with minimal supervision, can lead a variety of programmes that are largely in support of Research, Science and Technology projects. We are looking for someone with proven experience of working to a high standard within the Defence Sector.
About the role:
- Engage with clients/ stakeholders and business development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop technical approaches to problems for submission in client proposals
- Develop and present analytical approaches and subsequent OA evidence to scrutiny and assurance bodies
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering complex projects and programmes
- Conduct options analysis using approaches such as Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA)
- Conduct Balance of Investment cases
- Facilitate workshops and elicit data and information from different stakeholders
- Present project outcomes to a range of decision makers
- Write technical reports
- Mentor less experienced members of staff
About you:
- An advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a scientific domain or mathematics
- Demonstrable experience in using a range of operational analysis methods, tools and techniques including qualitative and quantitative methods
- Understand systems engineering and enterprise architecture
- Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering complex programmes
- A strong proven record of project and/or technical leadership with experience of forming coherent and successful teams
- A track record of writing complex bids that fulfil client requirements
- Possess an awareness and appreciation of Defence procurement processes
- Understand how options analysis and cost modelling combines to form a cost-effectiveness appraisal (e.g. COEIA)
