Moodle Trainer

Moodle Trainer required to produce high-quality learning materials that optimise the customer experience using appropriate learning technologies; maintaining and developing the learning platform and resolving customer queries relating to the Virtual Learning Environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and develop VLE courses and course content
  • Liaise proactively and responsively with relevant staff to develop and implement course content for the VLE
  • Ensure that the presentation of course content in the VLE is of a consistent high quality and customer-centric to provide an excellent user experience while paying attention to detail
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in order to promote learning solutions that are current, efficient and enhance the learning experience
  • Provide support to learners and others using the VLE and other learning technologies where necessary
  • Work with the IT solutions team to overcome server-side issues, manage learner enrolment, and enhance the VLE with plug-ins and updates
  • Train staff in the use of learning technologies
  • Prioritise own workload and work proactively and flexibly to ensure deadlines are met

Required Experience

  • Experience of using learning technologies for teaching, learning, and designing/developing support materials
  • Experience of web and learning technologies, including the Moodle VLE, web2 tools, H5P and SCORM packages
  • Experience creating and setting up Moodle courses and how to use the various plug-ins and activities within Moodle
  • Experience of audio and video creation and editing (eg Premiere Pro)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Graphic image creation, manipulation and editing (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Excellent communication skills (written/oral), and confidence in addressing groups of staff, senior managers and members of external networks
