Brightred’s latest recruit has the X-Factor in more ways than one!
Brightred are delighted to welcome Ashley Kupaza, to our already strong team of Specialist DevOps and Cloud consultants. Ashley joins us from a technology led recruitment organisation and we are excited at the prospect of utilising his wealth of knowledge and experience.
When Ashley is not working you will find him singing and playing the keyboards in his Gospal/RNB Band. The Brightred team have already had the pleasure of hearing Ashley sing, we think it’s safe to say…your chair is safe!

New Year, New Apprentice!

You may have read our blog last year ‘Want to be an Apprentice…You’re hired! and will therefore appreciate why Brightred is a big advocate of the Apprenticeship Scheme.
Since publishing the blog Harry has progressed to become a fully qualified and very successful Recruitment Consultant and Zohra has taken on a new role as Talent Acquisition & Development Manager.
Our experience has shown that by offering young people apprenticeships, it enables us to play an active role in moulding our future workforce and creating the skills we need to help grow our business.
Therefore, working in partnership with Key Training, we are extremely excited to welcome Paulina Bukowska to our Apprenticeship Programme.
Paulina is an A-level student from The Henley College, and comes with excellent research and time management skills, both of which are superb attributes for the recruitment industry. Paulina has wasted no time in making her mark at Brightred and has already smashed the record for the fastest placement.
Things are certainly looking bright for Paulina and we are delighted to have her on the team.
2019 Here We Come!
With Brightred’s 2019 growth plans, the future is definitely looking bright!
Brightred’s New Year kicked off with an early morning breakfast get-together. What better way to start the new year than with the aroma of fresh coffee, bacon rolls and warm pastries!!
Managing Director, Michael Allen opened-up the meeting with a highly motivational speech that left the team both excited and inspired.
With Brightred’s 2019 growth plans, the future is definitely looking bright!

A Christmas party with a twist & a shake!
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Brightred House
Not a recruiter was stirring, not even a mouse
Actually that’s not strictly true
It was the 4th December and it was our Christmas do!
This year’s festivities came with a twist…of lime, a sprig of Rosemary, a scoop of crushed ice and some serious shaking! All of the staff at Brightred were given a cocktail masterclass by a professional Mixologist (who knew there was such a job?!) at TT Liquor in Shoreditch.
After a welcome cocktail on arrival and a further three cocktails, made under tuition, things suddenly got serious. It was competition time…da da daaaa!!! Now there was only going to be one winner. Everyone at Brightred knows who the most competitive individual is, and more importantly who was going to be picking up the bill at the end of the night. So they graciously allowed ‘the boss’ and his team to win!
In need of some food to soak up the alcohol & non-alcoholic cocktails, the team followed our leader and marched over to Smiths of Smithfield for a hearty dinner.
Another BANGTASTIC Christmas party, which saw only two casualties the following morning 😁

When the going gets tough, the Brightred Mucky Mudders got going!
With war paint applied, Brightred came, saw and conquered one of the toughest 5 mile events on the planet, once again proving that by working to our companies core values; Teamwork, Passion, Integrity and Respect, anything is possible.
The tons of gritty mud, team-testing obstacles and 5 miles of twisting trails could not stop the team from crossing the finishing line to pick up their Performance finisher T-shirt, white finisher headband and bottle of cider.

As our T-shirts suggest Brightred like it dirty and seriously can’t wait to tackle the 5 miles of gloopy mud and 13 obstacles by working to our companies core values….TEAMWORK, PASSION, RESPECT & EXCELLENCE!

Some much needed light relief from GDPR in the shape of Footgolf!
Wexham Park Golf Centre in Buckinghamshire provided the team with an alternative challenge this month. A team from Brightred tackled the nine hole Footgolf course, making there way from hole to hole in as few kicks as possible. It was the perfect ending to a busy week and a chance to blow some of those cobwebs away.

Jordan is joining us as a Trainee Business Development Consultant, having completed his Apprenticeship in Customer Service & Sales, Recruitment Resourcing and Business Administration. Jordan is keen to engage with any businesses looking for a bespoke recruitment service, so if you happen to be passing theoffice, stop by and ask for an introduction.
Brightred continues to champion and nurture the growth of fresh young talent through it’s successful Apprenticeship Programme.
We are therefore delighted to welcome Leon Crute to the team. Partnering with Key Training and The Recruitment & Employment Confederation, Leon joins us as an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant (Level 3).

Brightred’s very own Knights in shining armour Michael Allen and Usman Tahir were soaking up the atmospheric surroundings of The Information Technologists 99th Business Lunch, held in the stunning Armourers’ Hall, London.
This Business Lunch celebrates the fourth year of The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) Outstanding Information Technology Student Awards: an initiative founded by the current Master in 2014 to recognise outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate IT students within the UK.
Congratulations to Harry Preston on successfully completing his Apprenticeship and passing the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing. Learn Direct’s assessor Danielle Dawkins came into the office for one final time to present Harry with his Certificate. Brightred are extremely proud of Harry and delighted that he has accepted a permanent position with the team and look forward to supporting him as their new Trainee Recruitment Consultant.
Following Harry’s success, we now have a vacancy for a new Apprentice and would love to hear from anyone wishing to start a career in recruitment and with Brightred.

New Year, New Brightred TenPin Champion!!!!!!!!!!!!
A small team from Brightred didn’t waste much time to start the social ball rolling with a couple of highly competitive games of Tenpin bowling.
Alistair set the standard and led pretty much from the start, but was unable to manage the mounting pressure and was pipped at the post by Usman. Brightred’s Managing Director, Michael Allen was clearly delighted to hand over his title and trophy to his young prodigy Usman. Despite a shaky start from Joanne, the Wooden Spoon Trophy stayed safely with last year’s recipient Zohra.

Our traditional but unconventional Christmas Pizza lunch was followed by the much anticipated exchanging of Secret Santa gifts. Well done to those that managed to keep the secret!
A quick dash home to change, before meeting up in Windsor for some pre-drink, pre-drinks…and no that isn’t a typo. Dressed to impress the team headed to Windsor Racecourse to enjoy a fantastic ‘Glamour of Paris’ evening…Ooh la la!!
The entertainment, food and wine were ‘magnifique’, and the dancing and laughter in abundance. A few sore heads in the morning only cemented why Brightred is such a fab place to work!

Following on from our sterling team performance at Tough Mudder UK earlier this year, together with the generous donations from our clients, family and friends, Brightred Resourcing were delighted to handover a cheque to Zohra and the SYF Shazad Yaseen Foundation before their departure, in support of their great charity work.

A rafting we will go....
A team from Brightred enjoyed yet another fun-filled, action-packed Team Building Event, in the idyllic location and surroundings of Hillingdon Outdoor Activity Centre (HOAC). Two teams put their initiative, leadership and teamwork skills to the test by designing, building and racing their rafts on the water.
Before launching the rafts one of the shortest members of the team, aided by some much needed muscle, thought it would be a good idea to throw the more mature but much taller Office Manager in the lake…keep watching your back boys!
The unsteady but stealth like design of team ‘Swallow’ left team ‘Amazon’s’ sturdy but safe raft in their wake, declaring them clear winners on the day…Well done boys!
The evening was finished off with some impressive free style rope swinging.

Brightred prides itself on its strong team ethic, so what better way to test our team strength, stamina and grit by taking on the toughest 5 mile event on the planet .
A few cuts and bruises were picked up along the way, but nothing could dampen the team spirit, determination and desire to cross the finishing line and join the Tough Mudder Community!

On May 6th, a brave team from Brightred will be tackling 13 obstacles over 5 miles in the infamous Tough Mudder Half.
Brightred has supported various charities over the years, but on this occasion it has decided to support one of it’s own. In September, our lovely Account Manager Zohra Hussain will be visiting Tanzania to continue the good work of the SYF Foundation.
